The short version: this site collects as little as it can, sells nothing to anyone, and everything it does keep exists so that your lists, your guides and your bookings work. The long version follows, because the law rightly asks for one.

Who is responsible

Wanderally is operated by Chiara Folci, an independent professional based in Barcelona, Spain ("we"). For anything about your data, write to hello@wanderally.com or use the postcard on the contact page.

What we collect, and why

• Your email address, when you create the free account or ask for a sign-in link. Legal basis: performance of a contract (the account you asked for). We use it to sign you in and, if you bought guides, to tell you about meaningful updates to them. No newsletter exists, so none is sent.
• Your checklist and guide progress (which items you tick, budget numbers you type), stored against your account so they survive your devices. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
• Purchase records (which guides, when, for how much), kept because tax law requires it and so your guides stay unlocked. Legal basis: legal obligation and contract. Your card number never reaches us; payment runs entirely through Stripe.
• Messages you send through the contact postcard (your email and the text), used only to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us.
• Anonymized usage statistics (Google Analytics 4), only if you accept them in the cookie notice, with IP anonymization on. Legal basis: consent, which you can decline or withdraw without losing anything.

Before you sign in, quiz answers and checklists live only in your browser's local storage, on your device, where we cannot see them.

Who processes it for us

A small set of processors, each doing one job: Cloudflare (hosting, database and transactional email; data may be processed outside the EU under the EU adequacy framework and standard contractual clauses), Stripe (payments), Google (analytics, only with your consent), and Cal.com (only if you book a call). We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone, and there is no advertising on this site.

Cookies and storage

• wanderally_session: an essential cookie set only when you sign in, so you stay signed in. No consent needed for essentials; it holds a random id, nothing readable.
• Local storage: your quiz result, ticks and trip date on this device. Stays on your device; clearing your browser data removes it.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): set only after you accept them in the cookie notice. Decline and the site works identically.

How long we keep things

Your account and its lists: until you ask us to delete them, which you can do any time by writing to us. Purchase records: as long as Spanish tax law requires. Contact messages: until the conversation is done, then they go.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, take it elsewhere, or object to a use of it, all by writing to hello@wanderally.com. We answer within a month. If you are unhappy with an answer, you can complain to the Spanish supervisory authority, the AEPD (aepd.es), or your local one.
